This is an amazing science experiment for children and you probably already have the bits you need at home. It comes from the book 'Potions Class' (affiliate link) and we had an amazing time playing with it.
You will need
Glass jar
Vegetable oil
Water
Food colouring
Glitter
Effervescent tablet (Berrocca or other)
Make it
Fill the jar 1/3 full of water
Fill the remaining with vegetable oil
Add in some drops of food colouring and glitter
Drop in a tablet (we decided two made it more exciting!) and see what happens!
