You may have noticed I love painting stones! Story stones are one of my favourite to do. The kids love to do them too, though these ones were for Church so I did them on my own. The idea is to paint/colour each stone with a character or aspect of the story so that they can be used to retell it or make up another story. Here, for Christmas, I've made a nativity set but the process is the same!

You will need;

some decent sized pebbles

white acrylic paint

permanent marker pens or modge podge (I havent tried this yet) to seal

Paint white acrylic onto the stones and leave to dry. I usually only do one side but with the emotion stone I made in the past, I have sometimes painted both.

I usually draw on in pencil first before adding the colour and finally drawing in the outline.

Seal with pva glue or the modge podge (Its on my wishlist!!)

Hey Presto! Nativity Stones!
